A 3 day training course in this amazing new bicortical implant technique was conducted at Harpreet eye and Dental Care Centre in Association with international implant Foundation Germany .The director of IIF ,Dr Vivek Gaur along with Dr Nancy Dhiman trained dental doctors, who came from different states of India and abroad. While bicortical implants are being done routinely in our centre ,First time in Punjab, fixed teeth were implanted with the support of cheek bones..known as zygomatic implants ,because patient’s jaw bones were worn out. The operated patient was presented at the Press Conference. He was comfortably eating food immediately after dental implant surgery.
In the conventional method patient has to wait six months before he is given fixed teeth on the implants but with this new technique the patient can get fixed teeth in 3 days only and start eating immediately.
